(Camden, N.J., Sept. 9, 2015) – The Long Island Ducks defeated the Camden Riversharks 3-2 on Wednesday night in the second game of a three-game series at Campbell’s Field.

GAME AUDIO: Highlights from the victory

Long Island was first to score, posting two runs in the fifth off Riversharks starter Sean Gleason. Steve McQuail’s solo homer and a sacrifice fly from Carlos Hughes made it a 2-0 ballgame. A run-scoring double play ball off the bat of Sean Burroughs in the sixth pushed the lead to 3-0.

In the ninth, the Riversharks struck for a pair of two-out runs against Ducks starter Bobby Blevins. Michael Rockett and Brandon Chaves both hit RBI doubles, but Amalio Diaz retired Joel Guzman to complete the win.

Blevins (4-4) picked up the win, allowing two runs on four hits through eight and two-thirds innings. He did not issue a walk and struck out five. Gleason (6-14) suffered the loss, giving up three runs on eight hits in six frames while walking one. Diaz earned his 12th save of the season by recording the final out of the contest.

Randy Ruiz led the Ducks with three hits. McQuail finished with a homer, RBI, and one run scored.
