Fans placed bids on game-worn Long Island Ducks jerseys
The Long Island Ducks 2019 Patriotic Jersey Auction came to a close on Saturday, August 3, at Bethpage Ballpark. Fans were able to place bids on special red, white and blue jerseys, which Ducks players and coaches wore during the team's games on July 4 against the Sugar Land Skeeters and August 3 against the High Point Rockers.
Bids started at $75 and were increased in minimum $10 increments. Bidding ran through the conclusion of the top of the seventh inning during the August 3 game at Bethpage Ballpark. Fans placed their bids by visiting the Waddle In Shop during each Ducks home game through August 2 and at the auction tables located outside the Waddle In Shop on the main concourse behind home plate during the August 3 game.
Proceeds from the auction will benefit the QuackerJack Foundation, the charitable arm of the Long Island Ducks. All donations are tax deductible. The QuackerJack Foundation has contributed to thousands of non-profit and like organizations each year while bringing awareness to worthy programs and causes in need of assistance on Long Island.
