The Ducks got the scoring started in the first inning off of Revolution starter Anthony Lerew. Jon Griffin’s single to right field scored Bryan Sabatella and Lew Ford to give Long Island the 2-0 advantage. York got on the scoreboard in the third after a passed ball scored Willie Cabrera from third.

Long Island made it a 3-1 ballgame in the fourth inning when Sabatella grounded into a run-scoring fielder’s choice. York got the run back in the fifth on a RBI groundout from Eric Patterson. One inning later, the Revs would tie the game on a solo homer to left-center from Andres Perez off of Ducks starter Ian Marshall.

After nine scoreless innings followed, York’s Sean Smith gave the Revs a 4-3 lead with a solo homer to left in the 15th off of Ducks pitcher Mark Rogers.

Neither starter factored into the decision. Marshall pitched five and one-third innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits while walking one and striking out two. Lerew also pitched five and one-third innings, allowing three runs on six hits while walking two and striking out three. Joe Harris (1-1) earned the win with two scoreless innings of relief, and Rogers (1-3) took the loss, yielding a run on one hit and one walk in two and one-third innings.
Josh Judy worked a 1-2-3 bottom of the 15th for his seventh save. Nine pitchers appeared in relief for the Ducks, while seven threw out of the bullpen for York.

Morales led the Ducks offensively with three hits. Ford and Reegie Corona each added a pair of hits as well.

The Ducks continue their three-game series against the York Revolution on Monday night.
