LAST CHANCE TO VOTE IN "BEST OF LONG ISLAND" AWARDS

Voting ends December 15

The Long Island Ducks have once again been nominated in several categories for this year’s Long Island Press “Best of Long Island” awards, presented by Bethpage Federal Credit Union. Simply CLICK HERE to visit the “Best of Long Island” page, where you can cast your vote for the Long Island Ducks thoughout the day today.

Long Island’s favorite mascot, QuackerJack, will look to defend his title as the four-time Best Long Island Mascot award winner. Whether pumping up the crowd during a game at Bethpage Ballpark or saying hello to fans throughout the Long Island community, QuackerJack is always putting smiles on the faces of Long Islanders!

For a seventh consecutive year, the Ducks have been given their own category: Best Long Island Duck. Should the award go to Lew Ford, who broke Atlantic League records for hits (189) and games played (140) during the 2014 season? How about John Brownell, who set a pair of franchise records for innings pitched (202.0) and games started (29) this season? There are 15 members of the Flock to choose from, so be sure to pick the one you feel deserves the award!

Bud Harrelson has once again been nominated in the Best Long Island Personality category. The baseball legend’s charitable service to the community and bright smile are always beloved throughout Long Island. Finally, the Ducks were nominated this year for Best Soft Pretzel. Nothing beats a pretzel at the ballpark, and the delectable treats from J & J Snacks are always sought after among fans when they visit the Duck Pond.

Voting runs through the end of the day on Monday, so be sure to vote early and often for your Long Island Ducks! Simply click on any of the above links, scroll down to specific category, make your selection and click "Enter Now" at the bottom of the page to submit your vote.

The Long Island Ducks are members of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball and play their home games at Bethpage Ballpark. For further information, call (631) 940-DUCK or visit www.liducks.com.
