WEDNESDAY'S (9/6) GAME POSTPONED IN YORK

Game rescheduled for Monday, September 11 at 6:30 p.m.

(York, Pa., Sept. 6, 2017) – Wednesday’s (September 6) game between the Long Island Ducks and York Revolution at PeoplesBank Park has been postponed due to inclement weather.

Wednesday’s (9/6) game will be made up on Monday, September 11, which had been a scheduled day off for both teams. First pitch for the game will be at 6:30 p.m. from PeoplesBank Park. Those wishing to attend the rescheduled game can take part in York's "Hunger Free Monday" campaign. Fans receive a free ticket to the game in exchange for a non-perishable food item, which will be donated to the York County Food Bank. The Ducks will then continue their final road trip of the regular season with a pair of three-game series at Lancaster and Sugar Land.

Long Island and York are still scheduled to play a single admission doubleheader on Thursday, September 7 following Tuesday’s rainout. First pitch for game one is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. Game two will begin approximately 30 minutes after the completion of the opener, and both games are slated for seven innings.

Fans can follow all the action for both games of the twin bill on the Long Island Ducks Broadcast Network. Live streaming HD video and audio will be available via BoxCast on the Ducks’ official Facebook page, YouTube channel and at LIDucks.com. Right-hander John Brownell (9-4, 3.52) gets the start for the Ducks in game one against Revolution righty Victor Mateo (6-8, 4.26). Right-hander Matt Larkins (9-6, 3.56) takes the mound for Long Island in game two against York southpaw Frank Gailey (12-9, 4.46).

Long Island returns home on Friday, September 8 to begin a three-game series against the Bridgeport Bluefish, the final homestand of the regular season. Game time is slated for 6:35 p.m., with the Bethpage Ballpark gates opening at 5:35 (5:20 for full season ticket holders). It’s Back to School Night at the ballpark, and the first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive Ducks Notebooks, courtesy of Long Island Teachers. It's also a Fowl Pole Friday, and if a select Ducks player hits a home run off of one of the foul poles during the game, one lucky fan will win $50,000. In addition, a Bluefish player will be selected as the Pizza Hut K-Man of the game. If that player strikes out, fans will receive a special offer for a FREE 1-Topping Personal Pizza at a participating Pizza Hut location.
