(Sugar Land, Texas, June 28, 2017) – The Long Island Ducks were defeated by the Sugar Land Skeeters 3-0 on Wednesday night in the sixth game of a seven-game series at Constellation Field.

Sugar Land took a 1-0 lead in the third inning against Ducks starter Rafael Perez. Following a two-out walk to Anthony Giansanti, Travis Scott delivered an RBI single to left-center field. It stayed that way until the bottom of the sixth when the Skeeters added two more runs on an RBI double from Hector Olivera and a run-scoring single off the bat of Derek Miller.

Skeeters starter Jake Hale (5-2) earned the win with six scoreless innings, yielding just four hits while striking out three. Perez (5-3) took the loss, giving up three runs on nine hits and two walks with two strikeouts in five and one-third innings. Mark Haynes collected his third save with a scoreless ninth inning.

Elmer Reyes and Lew Ford each had two hits for the Flock.
