In the bottom of the second inning, Michael Crouse’s RBI double to left-center field made it 1-0 Bees. Long Island tied the game in the top of the third on Fehlandt Lentini’s run-scoring single.

Crouse’s two-run home run in the bottom of the fourth broke the tie, giving the Bees a 3-1 lead. Anthony Vega cut the deficit to one with a solo home run in the top of the fifth, but the Ducks could not plate any more runs.

The right-hander yielded two runs on four hits and a walk. Shawn Gilblair collected his 18th save, striking out two and allowing one hit in the seventh.

In game two, the Ducks scored three runs in the top of the third inning on seven walks. Delta Cleary Jr., Cody Puckett, and Ruben Gotay each walked with the bases loaded to bring in the run. Carlos Hughes extended the lead to 4-0 with an RBI single in the fourth.

Daniel Herrera (2-1) earned the victory, tossing six scoreless innings. The lefty struck out four and allowed three hits. Bees starter Daniel Sattler (2-4) took the loss, walking seven in two and two-thirds innings. He allowed three runs while striking out two.

Matt Wessinger scored two runs for the Flock, while Hughes and Vega tallied two hits apiece.
