The Ducks struck first in the opening inning on a sacrifice fly to left field by Dan Lyons off of Riversharks starter Sean Gleason. Three more runs in the third on Lyons’ two-run single to center and a bases loaded walk to Anthony Vega increased the lead to four.

However, the Ducks answered back with six more runs in the fourth to balloon their advantage to 10-1. RBI singles from Delta Cleary, Jr., Sean Burroughs and Carlos Hughes, as well as a two-run single by Steve McQuail, highlighted the frame.

The Riversharks added a run in the eighth on a RBI single to left by Joel Guzman. The Ducks responded though in the bottom of the frame on a RBI single to left by Mike Blanke to round out the scoring.

Downs (2-3) earned the victory, tossing six innings, allowing just one run on four hits and five walks while striking out six. Gleason (5-11) suffered the loss, surrendering eight runs on nine hits and two walks with two strikeouts in three and one-third innings.
