Both teams traded zeroes until the bottom of the third inning. Jon Griffin’s two-run home run to center field off of Revolution starter Logan Williamson put the Ducks on top. Long Island extended the lead to 4-0 in the fourth on a two-run single to center by Delta Cleary, Jr.

York cut the deficit in half in the fifth on Brandon Boggs’ two-run homer to right-center off of Ducks starter Ian Marshall. However, a RBI double to right by Randy Ruiz in the bottom of the eighth put the game out of reach.

Williamson (4-7) took the loss, surrendering four runs on 11 hits and four walks with one strikeout in five innings. Ryan Kussmaul earned his 24th save with a scoreless ninth, striking out three batters.

Cleary, Jr. led the Flock with three hits, while Griffin, Ruiz and Cody Puckett each added two.
