Dan Mahoney was named the Budweiser King for a Day and coached first base during the Ducks' game on Sunday against the Bluefish. As the King for a Day, Mahoney also got to throw out the first pitch and spend time in the dugout with Ducks players and coaches.

Long Island will celebrate Labor Day with a rare day/night doubleheader against two different opponents on Monday. The Ducks battle the Newark Bears in the opener, with game time set for 12:00 PM, and the Suffolk County Sports Park gates opening at 11:00 AM. The Flock will then close out their four-game series with the Bridgeport Bluefish in the nightcap, with first pitch slated for 6:35 PM, and the Suffolk County Sports Park gates opening at 5:35. Following game two, all fans will be treated to a Grucci Fireworks Extravaganza, presented by Empire BlueCross BlueShield.
