ALL-STAR STAFF NAMED FOR DUCKS CAMP

Great spots available for final youth baseball clinic

(Central Islip, N.Y., July 28, 2010) – The Long Island Ducks today announced their coaching staff for session two of this summer’s annual youth baseball clinics. Ducks manager Dave LaPoint, along with coaches Bill Simas and Kevin Baez, will join 2009 Atlantic League Most Valuable Player Ray Navarrete, outfielder Billy Kovatch and infielder Matt Padgett to form a star-studded staff to lead campers in a two-day baseball clinic at Suffolk County Sports Park.

Players of all abilities are welcome and interested parties are encouraged to sign up early due to limited availability. Sign up forms are available by visiting www.liducks.com and clicking on the Kids Zone icon, or by calling (631) 940-DUCK.

“Ducks baseball clinics are a fantastic experience for any child looking to play on a professional field while learning from the pros themselves,” says Ducks general manager Michael Pfaff. “This incredible staff will be an invaluable part of each camper’s development as baseball players.”

Clinics are open to children between the ages of seven and 14. For just $195, campers get two days of instruction, lunch each day of the camp, an equipment bag and a Ducks Kids Clinic jersey. Just bring your glove and a bat, and be ready to play, rain or shine!

Session two will begin on Friday, August 6, and end on Saturday, August 7. Each camp day runs from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., and campers should arrive no later than 8:45 a.m. each day.

You can also sign up by calling 631-940-3825, ext. 102 (Tom Berman), or by faxing the registration form to (631) 940-3800.
