CORAM ELEMENTARY STUDENT TAKES DAVIES TO CLASS
5-year old winner shows off her favorite Duck
(Patchogue, N.Y., Nov. 28, 2005) – The third “Take a Duck to Class” winner was honored today as centerfielder Justin Davies visited kindergartner Alexandra Fazio at Coram Elementary School in Coram.
Alexandra won a visit after composing an essay detailing the importance of education and the role it plays in her future. Davies joined Alexandra in class for photos and a brief question and answer session. Justin explained how education is important no matter what career path the children pursue in the future and how much education has impacted his life.
The “Take a Duck to Class” program, sponsored by Hofstra University, will visit four schools in total as Justin will travel to Wantagh Elementary School in December for the fourth and final visit. The winners vary in age from kindergartners to fifth graders.
