Biography:
Foucault returns to the Ducks in 2013 for his 14th season in the Atlantic League and third with the Ducks. The former big league reliever guided the pitching staffs of the 2012 Atlantic League champion and 2011 Liberty Division champion Ducks. His staffs with the Ducks have featured six players who were signed by Major League organizations (Mike Loree, Pirates; Mike Parisi, Dodgers; Lenny DiNardo, Athletics; Jon Meloan, Yankees; Matt Way, Diamondbacks; and Eric Niesen, Mariners).
As a player, Foucault spent parts of seven seasons in the big leagues with the Texas Rangers, Detroit Tigers and Kansas City Royals, compiling a 35-36 record with a 3.21 ERA and 52 saves in 277 games.
Foucault spent the 2007 and 2008 seasons with the Newark Bears, and helped lead the Bears to a 2007 Atlantic League championship. The 63-year-old has also served as a pitching coach for the Lehigh Valley Black Diamonds (1998-2000) and Camden Riversharks (2001-2006). He spent the 2009 and 2010 seasons as the pitching coach with the Evansville Otters of the Frontier League. The Florida resident has also coached in the affiliated ranks with the Beloit Brewers, Gulf Coast Rangers, Charlotte Rangers and Hudson Valley Renegades. |
