DUCKS WEATHER THE 'STORMERS!
Four-run sixth leads to win in series finale
(
Pitching was the story early on, as both teams traded zeroes through the first four and a half innings before a rain delay interrupted play.
The Ducks responded with four runs of their own in the top of the sixth to swipe the lead. Juan Francia scored on a wild pitch, Matt Esquivel roped a two-run double to center field, and Brendan Monaghan connected on a RBI single to give the Flock a 4-3 advantage.
Esquivel and Monaghan each collected two hits to lead the Ducks.
Following an off-day on Monday, the Ducks continue their roadtrip and open a three-game series against the Camden Riversharks on Tuesday. Game time is set for 7:05 PM at
