Long Island blasts four big flys to earn victory
(Bridgewater, N.J., June 15, 2010) – The Long Island Ducks defeated the Somerset Patriots 8-4 on Tuesday night at TD Bank Ballpark

The Ducks exploded for a six-run sixth inning to open up the contest, banging out three home runs. Robinson Cancel’s solo homer to lead off the frame, followed by two-run homers by Johnny Hernandez and Erick Monzon gave Long Island a six-run advantage, which they never relinquished.
Joselo Diaz (5-2) picked up the victory, firing five innings, yielding six hits and one run, with four strikeouts. Thompson (2-2) was saddled with the loss, surrendering six runs and 11 hits in his five and one-third innings of work. Kane Davis nailed down the save, his 11th of the season.
John Rodriguez and Dustan Mohr paced Long Island with three hits each as the Ducks matched a season-high, with 15.
