TAKE A DUCK TO CLASS: ALBANY AVE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
TD Banks "Take A Duck to Class" underway
(North Massapequa, N.Y., December 14, 2010) – The Long Island Ducks spent the morning with Joseph McGrath and all of his classmates at Albany Ave Elementary School in North Massapequa. Joseph was the first of four winners in the TD Bank Take a Duck to Class Essay Contest and as part of his prize he received a school wide assembly with QuackerJack and All-Star Ray Navarrete.
Before the assembly was underway, Jacqueline Campo, Store Manager/Vice President of the local TD Bank in Massapequa/ Massapequa East, presented Joseph with a Visa gift card. Joseph was very excited and read his winning essay aloud to the entire school. After the applause died down it was time for Navarrete to speak to the children about the importance of community and education in his life and career. When the questions were over, Ray and QuackerJack headed up to Joseph’s third grade classroom where they signed autographs and took pictures. Each student in Joseph’s class was given a gift bag full of goodies courtesy of TD Bank.
