QJ HELPS RING IN HOLIDAY SEASON
QuackerJack joins Salvation Army at Smith Haven Mall
(Lake Grove, N.Y., Nov. 17, 2011) – Long Island Ducks mascot, QuackerJack, helped ring in the holiday season on Thursday at Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove. The lovable mascot joined the Salvation Army for the celebration, handing out holiday bells to kids and kids at heart in attendance.
QuackerJack also had the chance to give a big hug to the one and only Santa Claus and even got to sit on his lap to say what he wanted most this year. Perhaps it was an Atlantic League championship for the Ducks? QJ had a blast posing for pictures with many shoppers at the mall and dancing along with the brass quartet that played holiday songs.
You can see QJ, Santa, players and coaches when the Ducks kick off the holiday season on Saturday, Dec. 3 by opening up the Waddle In Shop for the holidays at Bethpage Ballpark. The day will also mark the beginning of the annual toy drive. For more information on all the fun, please CLICK HERE.
