Suffolk County Homefront is a not for profit organization that serves as a group of volunteers who proudly believe it is their civic duty to support the brave men and women of our military. Their mission includes purchasing supplies, equipment and care packages for our deployed service members, volunteering their time at military sponsored events, and also recognizing the sacrifices of those who have died or been injured during combat.
The Long Island Ducks have teamed up with Empire BlueCross BlueShield to present the "Empire Angels" program. This program has been designed to recognize those who give back to their community and are selfless in helping others. Those selected as the "Empire Angel" will receive four tickets to the game, be recognized during a pre-game on-field ceremony, and throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
The Long Island Ducks play their home games at Bethpage Ballpark and are in their 12th season of play. Individual game tickets for the 2011 season are on sale now.
