DUCKS HOST BLOOD DRIVE SATURDAY
Give the gift of life at the Duck Pond
(Central Islip, N.Y., June 23, 2010) – The Long Island Ducks will be hosting the first blood drive of the year at Suffolk County Sports Park on Saturday, June 26th from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Fans are encouraged to come to the ballpark and donate blood to help save a life.
The blood drive will be held on the plaza at Suffolk County Sports Park. Long Island Blood Services, a Division of the New York Blood Center, will be on hand for the event. Everyone who donates blood on Saturday will receive a voucher for two free tickets to any 2010 Ducks regular season home game, subject to availability.
Long Island Blood Services asks that donors bring a valid photo or signature identification with them to the blood drive. Eligible donors must be between the ages of 16 and 75 and been in good health. In addition, the minimum weight for donors is 110 pounds.
