DUCKS CELEBRATE ST. PATRICK'S DAY
QJ & company take part in two parades
(Central Islip, N.Y., March 14, 2011) - The Long Island Ducks joined in the fun at St. Patrick's Day parades in Bay Shore on Saturday, March 12th and in Huntington on Sunday, March 13th. As communities celebrated the Irish holiday, QuackerJack, Ducks owner/CEO Frank Boulton, general manager Michael Pfaff, manager Kevin Baez, and infielder Ray Navarrete stood atop the Ducks float and said hello to the hundreds of people in attendance. The radio home of the Ducks, My Country 96.1 FM, was also in attendance to take part in the fun.
Some lucky fans in the crowd received Ducks t-shirts from QJ and others on the float. As the Ducks rode down Main Street, those in the crowd roared in excitement and wished Long Island's hometown team the best of luck during the upcoming season. Other members of the Ducks staff handed out pocket schedules, ticket information, and a reminder that Opening Day for individual ticket sales is on Saturday, March 19th at the home of the Ducks, Bethpage Ballpark!
